As you may have heard, Microsoft ended support for all editions of Windows Server 2003 on July 14, 2015. Server 2003 was a great product and a very stable operating system, but as of this week, all support from Microsoft is gone.

I hope that each of you had a great Thanksgiving and that you and your families have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thinking back on the past year, we have seen many changes in this ever changing world of technology. Microsoft Windows 8 has become a mainstream operating system, more cloud based services have become available and smart phones have become more and more powerful and useful.

Happy fall! I hope that you are all doing well and have had a chance to enjoy the nice fall weather that we have had lately. This year certainly has flown by. It seems like just yesterday that we were making plans for 2013 and now we are fast approaching 2014!

I have a couple of things that I would like to share with you this month.

I hope that everyone is doing well and having a great summer. It is hard to believe that it is almost time for a new school year to start. It seems like summer gets shorter each year. I have a couple of things that I would like to tell you about this month.

Summer has arrived with all of its glory and heat. It sure is nice to have a few extra hours of daylight after work. The extra daylight is especially nice if you have children playing on sports teams or if you enjoy gardening or some other outdoor activity.

Cahaba Valley Computer Services, LLC is proud to announce a new product called CVsync. CVsync is a cloud based product that is designed to keep data synchronized between multiple computers and among team members working on projects.

With CVsync, you can choose the data that you want to keep synchronized between all of your computers.

It is hard to believe that we are almost to the halfway point of 2013. This year seems to be flying by. It seems like just yesterday that we were all wrapping up the Christmas holidays and getting ready to start a new year.

Summer is almost here. I think my favorite part of summer is the longer days. It sure is nice to have a few hours of daylight after work. Going home after dark during the winter is not much fun.Along with longer daylight hours, summer brings high heat.
